We worked on this project with Rob Langley, a developer who has an excellent reputation of renovating properties to realise their full potential. We were asked to develop a one bedroom fisherman's retreat into a three bedroom family home.The objective of the project was to infill the former ground floor boat storage area and form a new front access, as the original access to the property was via the storage area. The boat storage area was replaced with a large double bedroom with en-suite, accessed by an elegant metal and glass staircase with hidden storage.The new lightweight staircase was inserted with toughened glass handrails. The upper floor now far more open plan, light and with finishes ideal for modern living. High level veluxes have been replaced with enlarged French windows capturing views of the Hamble-Le-Rice Marina, transforming the feel of the property.
