MANITAL was started in Vobarno, near Brescia, Northern Italy, in 1990. Its founder, Mr. Luigi Bigoloni, established it with the purpose to manufacture brass door and window handles based on the experience he had gathered in this specific industry over dozens of years.
In 2004, after Manital’s export had spread to all five continents, a new plant was opened in Gavardo, also near Brescia. This new building now houses both Manital’s offices and production plant. As Mr. Luigi Bigoloni stated, the Company’s strategy, which has been strictly pursued till the present day, is “to couple 100% Made in Italy design and production so as to combine aesthetics with innovation and quality”. Manital ensures that each single product is manufactured with the utmost care employing only the best materials and with the help of the most sophisticated industrial technologies such as the die forming technology. The design of Manital products comes as a result of our collaboration with internationally renowned designers and architects such as Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, Sottsass Associati, Mario Mazzer, Pedrizzetti Associati, Maurizio Giordano e Roberto Grossi, Davide Mercatali, Valentina Downey, Itamar Harari, Studio Hot Lab. MANITAL has been able to develop and expand its international markets: in addition to a subsidiary in Poland and an associated company in Spain, the company is present throughout Europe, Russia, Australia, Canada, USA, Arab countries, India, South America, South Africa and many others. MANITAL’s extremely wide catalogue comprises 60 ranges of handles for a wide variety of finishes with a total 600 products choice, all of them proudly and exclusively made in Italy. In 2008 MANITAL obtained the ISO 9001 Quality Certification.
